How to Apply

Everything you need to know before you start your application — what to prepare, what happens after you submit, and how to check on it later.

Before you start

Applications are completed in one sitting on a single page, so it helps to have these ready beforehand:

  • Your CV or résumé as a PDF, DOC, or DOCX file, under 5MB — this is the only document upload required.
  • The details of your qualifications (institution and year) and work history (position, organisation, and dates) — you can add as many entries as you need.
  • Two referees and their contact details — one must be your local church pastor or a church elder, the other a professional reference.
  • A little time to answer four short written questions about your motivation and fit for the role (each up to 200 words).
  • A working email address you check regularly — every update about your application, including the reference number you'll need to track it, is sent there.

Steps to apply

  1. 1

    Find a position

Browse current openings and open the one you're interested in to read the full role description, qualifications, and closing date.

  2. 2

    Complete the application form

Scroll down on the job page to the application form and fill in each of its seven sections — position details, your bio data, qualifications, work experience, the written questions, your referees, and finally your CV upload.

  3. 3

Submit and save your reference number

After you submit, you'll see a confirmation page with your application reference number, and the same number is emailed to you immediately. Keep it — you'll need it, together with your email address, to track your application or make changes later.

  4. 4

    Track your status

Use Track Application at any time to see where your application stands — received, under review, shortlisted, interview scheduled, and so on.

  5. 5

    If you're offered the role

HR will email you a secure link to review your employment contract and accept or decline it online — no separate login needed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I apply for more than one position?

Yes — submit a separate application for each position, since each is reviewed on its own and gets its own reference number.

I made a mistake after submitting. Can I fix it?

No — once submitted, an application can't be edited online. Please review everything carefully before you submit. If you've made a genuine mistake, contact HR directly quoting your application reference number and they can advise on next steps.

I lost my reference number — what do I do?

On the Track Application page, use "Lost your reference number? Resend to your email" and enter the email address you applied with.

Do I need an account to apply?

No. There's no account or password to create — your application reference number and email address are all you need to check status or make changes.

How long does the process take?

It varies by role and how many applications are received. Applications are generally reviewed after the advertising deadline closes — track your status at any time rather than waiting to hear back.
